Ushers extend a warm smile and distribute the bulletins as the congregation enters the sanctuary/chapel. They help seat the congregation and offer to attend to specific requests such as devices and services for the hearing or sight impaired. They help take the offering during or after the service, record the number in attendance, and help assist the minister as needed. During the 9:00AM service, the ushers also collect prayer requests, straighten the pew areas after the service, and assist during communion as needed.
Ushers have the wonderful opportunity to see and assist every single person at church on Sunday morning.
This commitment is for one Sunday per month and possibly during a special evening service if available. Ushers would need to be at church no later than 15 minutes before the service. If not able to serve as scheduled, you would need to call the scheduler early enough to allow sufficient time to find a replacement.
